We were in one of the highest villages in England yesterday evening when our trustees Joanne and John gave a talk to Nenthead Over 60’s Club in Cumbria. It was great to share with them what we do, focussing on the progress at Linda Community School and our women’s empowerment group. It was particularly good to see Josie Hind there, who has now knitted 1,700 bears for us! These are sponsored by supporters and given out in Zambia. Tiyese (‘Let’s Try’) Craft Initiative items also featured. Huge thanks to the club for inviting us, and for all their generous support on the night.
If you are a member of a W.I., U3A, Lions, Rotary or other club and would like a presentation on our work in Zambia please just get in touch.
