Did you know that hostilities in the First World War actually ended 100 years ago today, two weeks after the official armistice? Fighting continued until the final surrender of German forces near Abercorn, Northern Rhodesia (now Mbala, Zambia) on 25th November 1918. Our trustee John will be giving a talk on this, and the contribution of Northern Rhodesia/Zambia to the allied war effort, at 7.30pm on 10th December at North Biddick Social Club in Fatfield, near Washington. All welcome – donations requested for the Zambezi Sunrise Trust. Please message if you would like to come or know more.
