It’s our 8th birthday today, and what better way to celebrate than to visit one of our earliest supporters? Our trustee John spoke to assemblies at both sites at Shotley Bridge Primary School in County Durham this morning. One of the things Zambezi Sunrise Trust did soon after it began was to establish a link between them and Nekacheya Primary School in Livingstone, Zambia. John was delighted to take in letters from Nekacheya today, the latest in a letter exchange between the schools that has been going for seven years. He also took in some ‘seed art’ that was made by Nekacheya for them (as was, several years ago, a picture of an elephant that graces Shotley Bridge’s assembly hall). John also took the opportunity to thank everyone for the amazing sponsored colour run that the children will be doing in June to raise funds to buy textbooks in Zambia!
