We had a great assembly at Linda Community School early this morning. Our trustees Joanne and John gave out the individual and class prizes for the last fortnight’s eco brick production competition. Many children made up to (and some over) a hundred bricks, with Grade 7 getting the class prize for making 532! Amazingingly, many of the children then produced hundreds more later in the day. The school was also introduced to Rachel, Sophia and Lola from Ireland, and Karen and Lynsey from England, who will be supporting us in our work over the coming week. Rachel, Karen and Lynsey are very experienced nurses and were able to put their knowledge to extremely good use through a long day of checking both children and staff. Sophia and Lola assisted with literacy and maths with some of the younger children. Well done everyone!
