It’s been a landmark day at Linda Community School with the commencement of our third ablution block there. Children from the school performed the ground breaking ceremony, together with head teacher Cathy, contractor Emmanuel and inspectors from the Ministry of Education. This block will enlarge the toilet provision to take account of our expansion from 470 to nearly 800 pupils.
It was part financed by our 2023 Big Give Christmas Challenge ‘Fund a Flush’ campaign. Huge thanks to everyone who donated to our annual online fundraiser and doubled the value of their donation through Big Give’s match funding. This year’s 2024 Big Give Christmas Challenge will be to build a computer room to finally give the children access to computers – Big Give week (and doubled donations) will be will be from December 3rd – 10th.
