We had our first school visit of 2025 this morning and were delighted to visit Hesleden Primary School in County Durham. Our trustee John was even more pleased to be joined by Sebastian Collins, who had volunteered for us in Zambia last year. Seb had an enjoyable half hour taking questions from the children and telling them about his time there. Seb had himself originally chosen to volunteer for us as a result of hearing our presentations at his own school. We are very grateful to him for taking time from his university vacation to join us today.
We were also delighted to take in letters from Linda Community School in Zambia, which were replies to letters Hesleden had sent last term. Special thanks goes to Janneke Mes in The Netherlands who took both sets of letters for us from and to Europe. We look forward to taking out more Hesleden letters soon.
