Prizes awarded at Linda Community School.

There was a great awards ceremony this morning at Linda Community School (at 07.30 to avoid the heat – assemblies are outdoors). Prizes were awarded to the top pre-school student, the head boy and girl and their deputies, and the top performing students in Grades 1 to 12. The prizes took the form of backpacks kindly donated by Durham School. Sebastian Collins, an old boy of the school who is presently volunteering in Zambia, helped give out the prizes. Later, other prizes were donated to children who, whilst not scoring so highly academically, had particularly impressed with their determination to attend school or shown notable improvement. Well done everyone!
