Congratulations Zambia!
Today Zambia celebrates the conclusion of it’s general election, and the forthcoming peaceful transfer of power to a new President and government. This has happened on every occasion there has been a change of government since independence in 1964: a great achievement.
As a foreign charity we are strictly neutral when it comes to Zambian politics. It was an honour to have the children of Linda Community School sing for, and one of our trustees address, the then President of Zambia in 2019 at the Commonwealth Law Conference. We have also had a good working relationship with the outgoing Mayor of Livingstone and his office which has helped with development in Linda compound. We equally look forward to meeting the newly elected Mayor and other representatives when that again proves possible.
