Huge thanks to everyone who came along and supported the Zambezi Sunrise Trust stall at Musicport in Whitby over the weekend. We were delighted to be invited to have a stall at this three day world music festival again. As well as raising funds for the charity, it was great to see familiar faces and make new contacts. Three of our trustees were even able to join a singing workshop hosted by a friend of the charity, Ali Bullivent, which featured Zambian songs. Ali’s hairband, made by Tiyese (‘Let’s Try’) Craft Initiative in Livingstone also generated more visits to our stall! As well as to Tiyese, our thanks go to everyone who made and donated items for the stall – and of course to Musicport for inviting us. All this happened to a background of fantastic music – including from Hayley McKay and David Neil Crabtree who have donated their time and talents to play at Zambezi Sunrise events in the past.
