Fabulous news. We have had the final figure in from Shotley Bridge Primary School, who last month held a sponsored walk to help raise funds for their ‘twin’ school Nekacheya. Over 400 children walked for 3 hours, some for as far as 7 or 8 miles along the Derwent Walk in County Durham. The infants walked around the perimeter of the school at least three times (which was at least 1 mile). The final figure is an astonishing £2854.51. This will have a transformative effect on book provision at Nekacheya Primary School next year. Well done everyone. Our thanks go in particular to Deb Wolstenholme who organised this event.
