Today saw a little Anglo-Dutch co-operation. Laura and Maria from Holland spent much of the morning measuring and cutting local chitenge material for curtains for our recently constructed classroom at Linda Community School. They were later joined by our trustee Joanne in ironing the seams. The curtains will be completed by ladies from Tiyesa (’Let’s Try’) craft group. The official opening of the new classroom will take place on 16th March in the presence of the United Kingdom Deputy High Commissioner to Zambia, the Mayor of Livingstone and officials from the Education Department.
