Yesterday was a milestone day at Linda Community School with books going into the school’s first ever library. It is situated in the five room block that was recently completed. The shelving for the first wall has now been completed by the carpenters (using a specific donation from Morgan Messenger – who just happens to be IVHQ’s most recent Volunteer of the Year ). A team of volunteers and children helped move them into the library. Most of the books were from a donation from Hesleden Primary School in County Durham, as well as individual donations, and were brought from the U.K. by our trustees and Alex Clarkson. They were joined by books we obtained in Lusaka from a generous donation from Book Aid International. Huge thanks to everyone who has helped with this project. Meanwhile, work continues on the next shelves…..
