Amidst all the reports of travel chaos at the moment, here’s a good transport story. One of the things we do is pay the registration fees to secure hundreds of books from Book Aid International for three schools we support. One of them is Njokomalamo Basic School in Barotseland / Western Province. In March, through the help of Grace Malambo of Nekacheya School, they made their way from Lusaka to Livingstone. Then Coronavirus had it’s effect, and there they have stayed. Until now. Today we were delighted to find that they are on their way again, courtesy of Father Boris the founder of nearby Njoko Mission. A few hours on a terrible road and a small boat across the Zambezi should see them there. We look forward to schools in Zambia reopening and the books being used before too long.
