Today one of our trustees, John, joined headteacher Grace Malambo on a round trip of over 17 hours to buy books for her school Nekacheya. Travelling from Livingstone to Lusaka they visited Longmans publishers to ensure that Grade 4 now join Grades 5,6 and 7 in having their own textbooks in each subject (a virtually unique situation here). The books were purchased with donations from ex IVHQ volunteers who taught at Nekacheya and supported the school’s sponsored walk in October. A huge thanks goes to all of them. Thanks also to Herbert Malambo for driving and Mutinta for taking the photos. The books will be given to the children next Friday.
