It’s looking colourful! The curtains, and plaque, have been fitted in the new Grade 8 classroom at Linda Community School, funded by our friends at Sonskyn in Belgium. The curtains, made by the ladies of Tiyese Craft Initiative, are in the Belgian colours of red, black and yellow as an expression of thanks to them. This classroom is a vital part of giving these kids the chance of a secondary school education – THANK YOU SONSKYN!
The children can be seen seated at new individual desks (required for secondary school students and exams) which have been hand made in recent weeks – more are on the way!
The curtain rails and fittings are hand made by welder Michael and his team, who also fitted the whiteboard and plaque – our thanks to them as well.
