Two of our trustees, Joanne and John Gillette, have been jointly shortlisted as finalists for the IVHQ ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award 2016 because of their work with the Zambezi Sunrise Trust. International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) is the world’s biggest volunteer abroad organisation, placing thousands of volunteers every year in 35 countries. From ‘hundreds’ of people who were nominated around the world, Joanne and John (who did not know they had been nominated) find themselves in the final!
