Our trustee Robert and supporters Bryony and Frank were out visiting the family homes of children from Linda Community School today with head teacher Cathy. These can be a significant distance from the school – the children may walk for over an hour. In light of the difficulties caused by the recent extreme hot weather and lack of rain, donations were expanded to include 10kg bags of mealie meal, cooking oil and salt. Some knitted items from our supporters were also distributed, however. These included bears made by Josie Hind, which were named and sponsored by supporters attending events in either Whitby or Heighington last year. Thank you everyone involved!
