FUNdraising!
Huge thanks go to Hesleden Primary School in County Durham who held a fabulous colour run to raise funds this afternoon. The children had a fabulous time and braved the November weather (it was already delayed from October because of heavy rain) to raise funds for Zambezi Sunrise as well as their own school. Hesleden have supported us for several years and it is always a pleasure to visit them and develop the link we have established between them and Linda Community School in Zambia. It was a great afternoon!
An interest declared: Our trustee John was pleased to accept an invitation to become a Governor of Hesleden Primary School earlier this year. He takes no part in deciding which charities the school supports (there are several) or how or when they do so.
Update: Hesleden raised £900.00 for Zambezi Sunrise, for which we are extremely grateful!
