Today we had a wonderful day and a change of scenery. Together with Sister Immaculata Mulyea of the Wpekala Women’s Programmewe visited the rural area of Sekute. We had the pleasure of visiting three villages. In each they have set up a ladies group to empower women and alleviate poverty. They have set up craft groups and I was able to share my experience and show them a variety of crafts made by ladies in England. In each village we left samples of blankets, dresses, shorts, bears and bags so that they could use the designs and patterns in the future. The items were kindly made by Josie Hind and Rebecca Dinsdale.
The ladies shared their amazing work too.
