Zambezi Sunrise are very happy to help Sarah Britain with her very worthwhile fundraiser. We have had the pleasure of meeting Alfred. He’s a wonderful warm person who truly deserves this.
Alfred works at Maramba Old People’s home in Livingstone, Zambia. He’s the most cheerful and caring person even in difficult circumstances. Alfred has always wanted to become a mechanic but now he has his own family and has no funds for his own education. Alfred’s mother died when he was approximately 2 years old. His father tried to send him to school but due to financial difficulties he was unable to -food for his family was the necessity. Now Alfred has his own family and every spare kwatcha is used to send his own children to school. IVHQ volunteer Sarah Britain is currently working at the old people’s home. Sarah would love to enable Alfred to better his education and fulfill his dream to go to Youth Community College, Livingstone and qualify as a mechanic. A Diploma in Mechanics takes 3 years and costs approximately $450 per year. Alfred has tried to save the fees but they are too great based on his income. If you can spare a donation this could make a huge difference to Alfred and his family. Alfred will still work alongside his studies to make sure that his family has food and that his children go to school.
