It was great to be invited to Hesleden Primary School in County Durham yesterday for their summer fair. We had a ‘name the bear’ fundraising stall and another 26 of the bears knitted for us by Josie Hind acquired names and/or messages to the children in Zambia to who they will be given.
A huge shout out also goes to Ava from Year 4. It was a wonderful surprise to find that she’d been making bracelets and set up a stall to sell them to raise money for both her own school and Zambezi Sunrise. Well done Ava and thank you for your great idea!
The proceeds will go to support our work at Linda Community School, with whom Hesleden have had a link for several years.
