Yesterday afternoon after school closed our trustees visited some of the homes of children who attend Linda Community School, many of whom walk up to two hours to school. As well as being an interesting time supporting head teacher Cathy as she spent time with several families, it was an opportunity over two hours to distribute a wide variety of hand made items from our wonderful supporters in the U.K. Blankets, dresses, ponchos, hats, jumpers, bears and other knitted toys were all given out to very grateful recipients. Huge thanks go to Josie Hind and Annie, Florence Fawcett and Ann Huntley, Margaret Clayton, Elizabeth Reid, Jackson and everyone else who donated items. Thanks also to IVHQ volunteer Niamh who helped us carry and distribute everything over two hours on a hot day!
