On 14th March 2017 Zambezi Sunrise were delighted to announce a joint venture with our friends at True Thabo in America. They supply water filter systems to schools in Zambia as well as a water education package. We were very pleased to find an appropriate school for our joint support. Samoonga Combined Secondary School is in a rural area about twenty minutes drive outside Livingstone. It has both a primary school and a secondary school, both of which only have a single standpipe. The water comes from a borehole and is stored in an open topped tank. The new filtration system will ensure that the children have clean water to drink. Hopefully the system will arrive in time for the arrival in Zambia of True Thabo’s co-founder Marissa Frank in May.
