Day four, part 1 of our trustees’ visit to Zambia. This morning we had a very productive meeting with Her Worship the Mayor of Livingstone. As well as congratulating Constance Muleabai on her recent election success, we were able to familiarise her with the work of Zambezi Sunrise Trust at various locations in Livingstone, as well as outline our plans for the future. Some specific areas of potential cooperation were discussed. We were delighted to be accompanied by Kennedy Mukumbo from our partner Zambian NGO, Dream Livingstone. We thank the Mayor for her time and the consideration she gave us, and look forward to working together in the future. We don’t always post about it, but a lot of time has been spent at the Civic Centre over the past few years working with the Mayor’s office, planners, city engineeers, building inspectors, the legal department and others. Our continuing thanks goes to Livingstone City Council for all their assistance.
