Great news! Today we can announce that Linda Community School have a new ‘twin’ school in England! In February the children of years 3 and 4 at Cramlington Community School in Northumberland sent some letters to Zambia with our trustee John, and today he was able to bring back replies from their new friends, as well as some hand made artwork. This follows on from a video link that we set up a few weeks ago. He was also handed £435.00 that the Cramlington children had raised in different ways last month to support Linda Community School. That will go a long way in the help to build new classrooms – that’s about 470 cement blocks! Work begins on new classrooms next week. Huge thanks to teacher Nicole Weatheritt and headteacher Debbie Wylie for organising this. We‘re really looking forward to helping the schools develop their relationship!
