Yesterday was Saturday so it was time to……paint tyres! We are delighted to be assisting two very dedicated Chilean volunteers, Paz Andrea Munoz Escobedo and Belen Osorio, with their project to construct a shelter to provide shade for the children at Linda Community School. Zambezi Sunrise have provided the roofing sheets. Three old blackboards were also painted in preparation for the opening day of term tomorrow – they will supplement the whiteboards now in each classroom. Paz and Belen have also arranged for older desks to be refurbished and Zambezi Sunrise are commissioning new ones for the latest classrooms, which will also benefit from curtains being made by Tiyese Craft Initiative.
