Donations of physical items have always been a real help to us. Some, such as children’s books and individual uniform items, make their way to Zambia. This week we received these photos of children in Ngwenya compound in Livingstone, with uniform items donated in County Durham and Northumberland. Other donated items are sold to raise funds in the United Kingdom. Lockdown restrictions have meant that our usual diary of jumble sales etc hasn’t taken place for over a year, but last month we were able to begin selling things again in a variety of different ways. Over £500.00 has already been raised, with much more to go to clear the backlog! Thank you to everyone who has donated physical items to us – they are really appreciated.
Our thanks also go to Grace Malambo for the photos and distributing the items in them. Ngwenya compound is where our trustee Joanne first volunteered as a teacher in 2016.
