Day four, part 2 of our trustees’ visit to Livingstone. This afternoon was spent planning for 2023! We are very grateful to the District Education Board Secretary for allocating officers and a vehicle to us this afternoon. This was in response to our request to examine school science labs that meet Zambian government specifications. Science labs are necessary for a school to be an accredited secondary school. We visited the latest labs at both Libuyu and Mulwani Primary and Secondary Schools – our thanks also go to the head teachers and science teachers for showing us around and explaining what is necessary. We later visited our building project at Linda Community School with the inspectors to determine where best to build a laboratory block next year. We were grateful to meet with DEBS before and after our tour to discuss future plans. The rest of the afternoon was spent dealing with student sponsorships and obtaining suppplies for Linda Sunrise Primary School.
