It actually happened!
The President of the Republic of Zambia, His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, today visited our Tiyese (‘Let’s Try’) Craft Initiative stall! The President was in Livingstone as guest of honour at a huge state event to mark International Women’s Day. The Tiyese stall was in the presidential presentation tent at the invitation of the Mayor of Livingstone.
Josephine from Tiyese told the President all about Tiyese and their products, and he also spoke briefly with our trustees Joanne and John who told him about Zambezi Sunrise Trust’s support for the group. What a memorable occasion!
