It was great to relaunch Homework Club at Linda Sunrise this evening! Homework Club had been a feature of our work before Covid, in which over a hundred volunteers over several years had assisted children in Livingstone’s Linda compound with maths and English. The Covid pandemic meant that it hadn’t taken place for nearly three years. Today our supporters Bry and Frank, together with IVHQ volunteer Jele and our trustees Joanne and John joined teachers Blessing and Moses in helping 56 kids. Bry and Frank had put a lot of work into preparing teaching materials before arriving from Holland. It was a great start – and we look forward to welcoming more volunteers soon.
