The roof is arriving! We had a bit of a delay last week with the construction of the latest two classroom block at Linda Community School. Because of the ongoing economic effects of the pandemic we weren’t able to buy roofing materials as normal in Livingstone. This meant that the bars and sheets had to be made to our specifications in distant Lusaka. Last night they came down by train (something we hadn’t done before), and today they began arriving at the school. Work on the roof will begin straight away. Our thanks go to contractor Harry Simakumba for arranging the logistics which have been particularly complicated this time!
