Today we were delighted to donate a book cabinet to Nekacheya School in Livingstone. Seen here with headteacher Grace Malambo, it will house the beginning of a major enhancement of the school’s library. It is the first purchase using funds raised by Nekacheya’s ‘twin’ school in England, Shotley Bridge Primary School in County Durham. We will soon start stocking the library with books using their fabulous donation.Toward the end of last year our trustee John visited them to be presented with a cheque for the proceeds of a fantastic sponsored walk they held on behalf of Nekacheya. A special thanks to Deb Wolstenholme who organised the walk and Helen Graham Fox who helped facilitate the original link between the schools. Well done Shotley Bridge!!!
