On 20th November John, one of our trustees, went to Shotley Bridge Primary School in County Durham. Last month the children there held a sponsored walk to support their ‘twin’ school, Nekacheya School, in Livingstone, Zambia. Over 400 children walked for up to 7 or 8 miles. Today they presented John with the proceeds – a cheque for an outstanding £2950.00 (approximately U.S. $3900.00). This will transform the library and book provision at Nekacheya. John was privileged to thank the children on behalf of Nekacheya and promised to return next year to tell the Shotley Bridge pupils what has been achieved with their money.
