In a wonderful surprise, this afternoon Linda Community School received a second visit from the Secretary General of the Commonwealth. Baroness Scotland had opened our new classroom the previous day and wanted to spend more time with the children. On a rainy day, she distributed sweets and drinks, chatted to the children and signed the visitors book. The school was also delighted to present her with a picture of the Victoria Falls made by the children.
Earlier in the day, warm and dry uniform items had been distributed to the children. Many of them were donated by Great and Little Shelford C of E Primary School in Cambridgeshire, England.
