The speakers at classroom opening ceremony.

The speakers at our classroom opening ceremony today at Linda Community School were Her Worship the Mayor of Livingstone, the District Education Board Secretary, our trustee Joanne, classroom donor Jake Jones and head teacher Cathy Chilambe. We were delighted to hear the Mayor and DEBS emphasise the recent impressive, and improving, examination results at the school (including for the adult education classes). Emphasis was also put on the fact that over half of this school for vulnerable children are girls, and parents were encouraged to keep them in school – something now always possible as we have expanded to a secondary school.
