TIYENDE PAMODZI NDIM’TIMA UMO: LET’S WALK TOGETHER WITH ONE HEART (a common phrase in Zambia).
A big cheer and thanks goes to all our wonderful supporters who participated in, or donated to, the Walk For Water which ended yesterday. The £10 a head fundraiser reached it’s target of £1,500 and ended with a total of £1,860.00!
This will fund the construction of a water tank with tower and pump for Linda Community School in Livingstone (pictured). The month long appeal challenged people to see if they could walk as far as some of these kids do to school in a day, week or month. Quite apart from the funds raised, for which we are extremely grateful, we enjoyed seeing so many people out enjoying their walks in different places: thank you for all the photos and videos!
