Last week these pupils at Nekacheya School in Livingstone were wearing face masks made by Tiyese (‘Let’s Try’) Craft Initiative, a women’s empowerment group that we helped establish. Tiyese have started to develop a reputation for making good quality masks. As well as making them for us for schools we support, they recently made 2,500 for frontline health workers and have been given an order for 2,000 from WWF in Lusaka. Well done ladies – and well done Nekacheya School for making sure there are plenty of masks available for the kids!
