Today two of our trustees were honoured to be asked to speak at the official opening ceremony of the new Nekacheya School site. It comprises a classroom block, office, ablution block and water tank (the latter two were built with assistance from Zambezi Sunrise Trust). John and Joanne were delighted to recount to the assembled parents, dignitaries and children the six year history of Zambezi Sunrise support for the school. They were also able to speak of the contribution of other non-profit organisations that we have cooperated with, namely Sonskyn (Belgium) and True Thabo (U.S.A.). It was a privilege to see the first raising of the flag, see and hear the children’s singing, dancing and poetry, and the cutting of the ribbon by the District Education Board Secretary. A great occasion!
