Last week we were in The Bahamas!
Sadly, it wasn’t in person, but we were very happy to accept an invitation to address the opening session in Nassau of the 2021 Commonwealth Law Conference by video.
This was an opportunity to give an overview of the legacy left by the 2019 CLC in Livingstone, Zambia. Our trustee John gave an update on the ‘Commonwealth Room’ at Linda Community School and our progress at the school, and our trustee Joanne described how the 2019 CLC was a catalyst for great things for Tiyese (‘Let’s Try’) Craft Initiative. The video was played in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, The Governor-General of The Bahamas, and a variety of Chief Justices, Attorneys-General and other distinguished lawyers from approximately 20 Commonwealth countries. While it was made for the conference, it does give an insight into part of what we do…….
