We were delighted yesterday to accept an invitation from Hesleden Primary School to have a stall at their summer fair. This featured an opportunity to name knitted bears made for us that will be taken to children in Zambia, purchase products made by Tiyese (‘Let’s Try’) Craft Initiative, and take part in a treasure map and ‘guess the name of the elephant’ game organised by the school. As well as raising funds, it was an opportunity to meet some of the parents of children who have been involved in our letter exchanges and video link with Linda Community School. Our special thanks go to pupils Ben and Tyler who helped on the stall, Mrs Fletcher and Mrs Johnson for organising this and their ongoing support, and Josie Hind for making the bears.
